Butterflies
It was an early start this morning as Gavin had arranged for us to play golf with some friends at 8am. I nearly backed out as I thought at that time of the morning I would not be loosened up yet so would have a dreadful round of golf, when in fact it was the best 9 holes of golf I have ever played! I scored my first ever birdie on a par 3 hole, on the green for one and then one putt to sink the ball, I was ever so pleased! But will not mention the other duff shots....
It was a scorcher of a day, so it was a good decision to play early. After golf we went into the village to stock up on groceries as Adam arrives tomorrow. We had a lovely summery lunch at home - melon and parma ham and some cottage cheese, and then while Gavin worked all afternoon I worked on the minutes for our camera club committee meeting which is next week. I am sent reports from all the various committee members and have to collate them, and it was a bit of a challenge as I did not have Word on my MacBook so had download it, then convert PDF files to Word and finally got there in the end. It is easier for me to have a paper copy in the meeting so I emailed the document to a local friend who has a printer and he has printed it out for me to collect.
After I finished that document I took Xena for another short walk, it was too hot to do anything strenuous. I spent ages in this open area with all the wild flowers trying to photograph butterflies, ably assisted by Xena (not really, she tries to eat them...)
We have had a short storm after the hot day, typical weather in the mountains after the build up of heat from the day.
Tommy finally received his missing suitcase today....so much for the guaranteed 48 hours delivery from British Airways, but at least he now has it!
