Roedd yn rhaid i mi fynd i'r ceiropractydd heddiw. Mae hi'n ymddangos yn falch gyda fy nghynnydd. Rydyn ni'n mynd i gyfnod newydd nawr, ac mae hi'n mynd i anfon rhaglen waith i mi i wneud. Dydw i ddim yn gwybod beth fydd e. Gawn ni weld.
Ar y ffordd adre es i i'r siop ar ben y ffordd 'Philog Stores'. Mae hi wedi bod yna am oesoedd. Pan roeddwn i'n ifanc roedd pum siop ar ben y ffordd. Groser (yr un yma), siop papurau (ar draws y ffordd), becws, cigydd, siop lysiau. Y pethau sylfaenol i gyd.
Cafodd y becws ei ddymchwel ar gyfer fflatiau, caeodd y cigydd a daeth yn barlwr harddwch. Caeodd y siop lysiau pan fu farw'r perchennog. Cafodd y groser a'r siop papurau frwydr fe, pan ddechreuodd y siop papurau gwerthu bwydydd, a dechreuodd y groser gwerthu papurau newydd. Wel, enillodd y groser ac mae'r siop papurau yn nawr siop trin gwallt.
Rydw i'n meddwl bod y groser yn wneud yn dda iawn i gadw'n mynd. Y dyddiau hyn, pan llawer o bobl yn gallu gyrru i'r archfarchnad, mae'n agos at wyrth.
Roedd y groser yn ddefnyddiol iawn pan allwn ni ddim yn teithio pell. Mae'n llai na deg munud cerdded i ffwrdd o'n tŷ ni. Dydych chi ddim yn ffeindio popeth yna ond mae stoc eithaf da gyda fe. Mae'n ddefnyddiol iawn pan mae'r tywydd yn rhy boeth i fynd i'r pentref.
Rydw i'n popio i mewn yna o dro i dro ac rydw i'n gobeithio y bydd e'n para llwyddiannus.

I had to go to the chiropractor today. She seems pleased with my progress. We're going into a new phase now, and she's going to send me a work program to do. I don't know what it will be. We'll see.
On the way home I went to the shop at the top of the road 'Philog Stores'. She's been there for ages. When I was young there were five shops at the top of the road. Grocer (this one), newsagent (across the road), bakery, butcher, greengrocer. All the basics.
The bakery was demolished for flats, the butcher closed and became a beauty parlour. The greengrocer closed when the owner died. The grocer and the newsagent had a battle, when the newsagent started selling groceries, and the grocer started selling newspapers. Well, the grocer won and the paper shop is now a hairdressers.
I think the grocer is doing very well to keep going. These days, when many people can drive to the supermarket, it is close to a miracle.
The grocery was very useful when we couldn't travel far. It's less than a ten minute walk away from our house. You won't find everything there but it's pretty well stocked. It is very useful when the weather is too hot to go to the village.
I pop in there from time to time and I hope it continues to be successful.
