Wound up in Wexford

By Neatwithice

Nearly glad

We had our Wednesday poached eggs, and then, after a suitable "digestive" gap, I did quite a vigorous session on the exercise bike.

After lunch, we ordered an electric fire for the lounge from Wayfair, and then were tempted to add a coffee table and an occasional table - that way we save the €6 delivery charge!

Later in the afternoon, a chap came round from a local window company to look at our front door which is in need of replacement.  He had phoned earlier, having been sent by the guys in the office to the wrong address, and when I gave him our address, he immediately said he knew exactly where we were.  When he arrived, he told us he lived in Old Ross, and had heard about us from one of the families who came to the "meet the neighbours" weekend.  He was very complimentary about the changes we've made to the garden.

In the last week, which has been largely warm, and often sunny, the gladioli in what we have christened "the corner bed" have been producing flower spikes.  I'm going away on Friday for 10 days, leaving W alone to enjoy the flowers and continue to eat our peas and beans.  Hoping there'll be some of both left when I return.
