Wound up in Wexford

Another project completed

I have rather a lot of decorative plates.

Plate racks have been on W's To Do list since we settled in here, but I kept changing decisions about location - so it's just as well he didn't make them any sooner.  The design has also been developing in his mind.  And the colour they were to be painted was only finally decided in the last few weeks.

So this morning we fastened them on the wall.  The paint is still a little soft, so the plates are only up there temporarily for blipping purposes.  When I get back from my little jaunt, we'll give the plates a wash, put them up neatly and that'll be another box emptied.

In the afternoon I went into Wexford.  Riverroamer had mentioned a craft group recently started at the knitting/fabric shop, so I went to meet them.  Lovely to meet her in person, and as Riverroamer says in her blip, the town is busy and buzzing.  Sadly, I arranged my holiday to the UK before The Fleadh was announced, so I'm missing it all - but I'm reassured that it'll be back again next year.

For dinner we had yet more of the lovely home grown beans and peas.  And (our strawberries are finished for the year) local strawberries from a roadside stall.
