Better
My recovery from jetlag took a step backwards last night when I was wide awake until 04:00, and only had about four hours sleep. Although I succumbed to a nap in the afternoon, hopefully I'll sleep earlier tonight.
Django still shouldn't go on proper walks, but he was clearly feeling rather better when I took him up to the top field, and he found a stick to chew whilst I watched the thrilling culmination of the men's Olympic triathlon. I then spent much of the day reading and correcting the partial draft of Roger's Royal Society memoir that my co-author has put together, before adding a paragraph of my own. I also emailed some other former PhD students of his for undocumented content.
In the evening I took Django out again. He mustn't wear a collar, and had slipped out of his car harness when I used it in the morning, so I tried the lead that the vet had loaned us. We were both rather humiliated (see extra) until I realised that it would be better if only one of his legs went through it!
