Orthodontics

We started the journey of orthodontics today. Her assessment appointment was very thorough, she saw about 4 different practitioners, had multiple sets of xrays and scans and stuff. She needs surgical removal of an impacted tooth that is horizontal in her jaw line and pushing her teeth as a result. Braces won't work if she doesn't have this, so it's a trip to the hospital for it to be done under a general anaesthetic. Except there's an 8 month wait for that. So it's going to be quite a long journey!

The girls then got the train into the city for part one of their yes day (which we've had to spread over two days due to work commitments!). They went to play adventure golf, they had lunch out, did some shopping, bought rubbish jewellery, came back. They went to the big inflatable play centre in our town with pizza for tea and spent the evening making more jewellery with sweets and hot chocolate.
