Ceci n'est pas un 'pastry brush'

The sprawling plant that is home to this glory appeared from under the weeds in the middle of where the greenhouse used to be. I once grew courgettes near here and assumed it was a courgette until a visiting friend told me it was a squash. Ah, three years ago I planted some butternut squash seeds inside the greenhouse and not all of them germinated.

Every morning I go out with my pastry brush and share the pollen of any flowers that are open but this morning the bees had beaten me to it.

I know other people take much better photos of bees on flowers but these are my bees (there are two inside the flower as well as the one above it) on my squash flower and I'm chuffed.
