Across the Ure
There was a vague plan for a group walk today, but it turns out that organising musicians is as easy as herding cats! We had thought we'd be setting off after breakfast, but by the time everyone was ready to go some of us had already had lunch.
It was decided to walk from Hardraw to Hawes, and very pleasant it was too, especially in such good weather. At Hawes there was a long refreshment break in a tea shop for tea and cake, though others had a late lunch. Afterwards, a few people turned back while the rest of us continued on a circular route. But time was running out, so not quite as far as planned!
A table had been booked for 6.00pm for a meal at the pub, and then a music session to celebrate DD's 70th birthday. And a very good evening it was!
Three contenders for today's Blip. The winner was a view across the River Ure towards Hawes. Extras are a view of Hawes, and a shot of the evening music session.
