to the water!

so, hottest weekend of the year so far and it was fitting that our 'big chick little chick day' was spent at the coast! katy's husband Steve also joined us and here's Amy and Annabelle running to the Brightlingsea paddling pool! we all waded in and I hid my horror when I felt a crab scuttle over my foot! 'just keep moving around Aunty Dora' 'Yes I will, thank you mummy for he advice!!'

we then caught the boat over to East Mersea which was really lovely and wandered into Cudmore Grove with the promise of an ice cream, quite a long distance for little legs and the girls did really well and we made it just in time for the boat going back! We hung around the hard to see boats coming in and being launched and were amused when two horses also had a paddle. A great day, I am exhausted now!
