Looking Back
We don’t very often walk out on the pier. Probably because we’ve usually got the dogs with us and Vinnie (of course) isn’t keen on walking on structures where he can see below them.
Today our next door neighbour from Sandy came to see us and I met him at the train station. He is staying with his sister in Leeds for a while and it’s a direct train across from there.
So we had a walk along the prom for a while and looking back from about three quarters of the way out on the pier it gave a different view for the blip. We have rented one of the beach huts for the day on Saturday when family come to visit at the weekend.
We came back for a cuppa, then went out for a mooch around town and lunch. Mark said he fancied fish and chips on the beach but of course once the weather had cleared up the beach was heaving again. So we settled on a posh fish finger ciabatta in one of the hotels in town.
A lovely catch up with what’s been going on in the old neighbourhood in the last 7 months since we left.
If the blip looks a little overcast, that’s because it was. Actually softly drizzling at the time but it didn’t seem to deter anyone.
I am again behind with commenting on blips. My apologies, it’s not going to be much better over the coming days. I will drop by as soon as I can.
