Parasols and Cocktail Glasses (and BB's Top)

I spotted these the other day (as I picked up something the dog had dropped) on one of our regular walks. It was the upright 'parasols' I noticed. So, Google Lens tells me it is a Liverwort (Marchantia polymorpha) also known as Parasols and Cocktail Glasses amongst other names. (Umbrella Liverwort is more common.)

Liverworts are primitive plants and there is more to liverworts than I will cover here. The parasols are the female reproductive structures, and the cups are the male. Raindrops hit the cups and spread the sperm.

When I got home I saw that BrambleBlossom was wearing a top that had some similarities to my photo, as in my extra.
