Fire Weed, next to the water?

We walked around the reservoir (Grane Res or Calf Hey) with our son and fiancée from Leeds,  and I took this shot to show some surrounding countryside as well.

I have always liked Rose Bay Willow Herb from my childhood. The long stems were weapons for sword fights or spears to throw, and when the seeds were ready it was great to help them spread by waving them around.

Nowadays I like the intense colour they bring, especially if they are in a dense sward. 
(I actually saw a much bigger stand of them recently, but was unable to capture the image. So, I thought I had better do it today. )
