Watermelon

I've never been a fan of watermelon, because of the big black seeds they contain. However, Marlane has been ordering them with the on-line shopping delivery (I know, after my little rant about self service tills yesterday it doesn't look good) and they have very small, light coloured, seeds.
We have new neighbours, a Chinese family, lovely people who we get along with very well. Ruby, the Mum of the family, called me over when she pulled up across the way and handed me a huge watermelon. She'd been out to buy one but thought she'd get us one at the same time.
Being so large I thought that surely it would have the big black seeds but no, it only had tiny pale ones.
I've become a great fan of Watermelon now. The girls, on the other hand, have always loved it after spending 3 years in Cyprus. They did mention the big black seeds though so I'm sure they appreciate the lack of them too.
