Nearly there
In a brief interval while waiting for our Belgian friends to arrive to stay, I got the blackcurrant pickings from yesterday ready for jam making. It had taken three of us to glean 500g mainly from the base of the plants which were near the end of their productive life this year. Two pots made: one for the show and one for my fellow pickers. I did wait a few more minutes to make sure the setting point was reached.
Then off with our friends on visits. I left them to catch up with a former English teacher.
Sorry to learn that Sir Andy Murray’s journey has come to an end. I’ve followed him from his teenage years and has provided years of excitement, frustration, despair and pure joy.
