A beautiful day..
for a cliff top walk to the castle, reinforced in the thirteenth century in preparation for the invasion by King Haakon of Norway. It is the old seat of the Earls of Findlater and Seafield.. in the surrounding fields the barley is ripening and Martins and Swallows swooped above feeding on the insects. Out on the rocks, Cormorants were sitting and Fulmars were on the cliff ledges.
In the extra, my coffee companions can be seen breakfasting in the garden first thing, Thrush, Woodpecker and Squirrel!
