Ring of Brodgar

The ring of Brodgar wasn’t in the best of humours today with rain arriving when we visited.  It is a henge with an almost complete circle of stones.  It is dated as between 2500 - 2000 BC. 


Earlier, and obviously because it is CMC’s birthday, we went out to lunch at Sheila Fleet’s.  We were joined by CMC’s sister and niece.  We said cheerio to Anne and Marina who had stayed with us for a few days.  It’s fresh mackerel for tea.
 
Jean Shrimpton is 81.  It is not known whether she likes mackerel.  Or gooseberry sauce.
