Will and the Artist

Today's the day .......................... for an early birthday

Lovely to have friends John and Roma come to visit today - and they came bearing gifts.

It's not Will's birthday until next week but this present was too special to wait.  It was a beautifully constructed model of a bearded artist with all the tools of his trade - easel, palette (with paint), stool, cloths, carrying case and three painted canvases.  The artist himself bore an uncanny resemblance to Will.  And if I tell you that the three paintings were all ones that Will has painted in the past, you might well imagine how amazed he was to receive such an incredible present.

Obviously, a great deal of thought and ingenuity has gone into the planning of this early birthday gift.  It just needs a special place now to go on display .................!
