Flower Friday: Lavatera (plus Bees)
Having blipped a bee on the Lavender on Sunday, I hadn't intended to blip any bees today. However I took the camera across the garden to the Lavatera which is looking good at the moment - and found it had several bees on it, so it seemed churlish not to let them photobomb today's blip.
I couldn't decide between these two - the left one in the act of taking off, and the right one just enjoying the nectar so I decided to cheat and blip a diptych. In fact I reckon doing so (especially showing two different types) illustrates the fact that, while I've been concerned for a while about the shortage of bees in the garden, they've suddenly appeared - so presumably their absence has just been due to the lousy weather up until the last few days - and not due to some more serious effect.
Naturally I'll tag this for Bikerbear's FF challenge.
