Cuenca!

Tomorrow will write more - made it to Cuenca - utterly delightful - need my bed!

Well, so many lovely comments about my fun phone photo, that will leave it, and just add an extra of the Plaza Mayor, as we walked out from our room, looking for food - notice the young love bottom right.

Wanted to see Cuenca in Spain because Cuenca in Ecuador was my favourite city there, when we backpacked around with the kids many years ago. But never expected to be so impressed. The (old) town lies between two river gorges, and incredibly picturesque wherever you look.

Gratefuls:
- Mike driving so many hours across Spain
- an excellent bottle of wine (above), local, aged in clay amphorae, organic, unfiltered, first mouthful strange, but really grew on us as the meal progressed
- music playing in the square in front of the place we're staying, people dancing, amazing atmosphere (the Spanish are so different to the Portuguese)
