…with cats and sun. Nothing would get done if this lot were in charge in a warm country.

Spent the morning cutting down a dead tree and clearing bind weed and nettles. The space looks bare but we’ll find a replacement. You have to break an egg to make an omelet, etc.

To Jed on the 68 bus for a couple of beers and a tasty meal at the Capon Tree House. Later, as we entered our own village on the return leg, the bus driver agreed to drop us at the cricket club and we stopped in for a further couple of pints.Splendid.
