Back blip

I did the last of my marking shifts this morning for this month. Then, unusually, I was meeting my friend Caroline for lunch. She and her husband Fran have lived in Sotogrande in the south of Spain for the last 8 years and so we only get the chance to meet up when they’re back in Bcn visiting family and for work. Of course, we sometimes can’t even manage that, what with work and family commitments. Anyway, we always just pick up where we left off and spent 3 easy hours catching up and having Lebanese food in La Taula, just along the road. And the good news is that they’ve just bought a small flat in Bcn, in our barrio (which is where Fran’s sister also lives). They were fed up with having to plan their visits in advance and booking a place to stay. This will give them much more flexibility. And hopefully more lunch opportunities!
