Adam and Anna at Davos Lake

This morning was cooler with low cloud over the mountains. Adam and Anna went to the gym in the village, while as usual I did my own gym routine at home. I had a very sore glute/hip that kept me awake last night so did lots of stretching, and that helped.

After breakfast we set off for our hike - we got the gondola up the mountain and then walked down to Wolfgang where we had a salad lunch on the terrace of the Kulm Hotel. After lunch we decided to walk into Davos, and our route took us part of the way around the lake where I took this photo. We saw many black squirrels and big starlings, children were trying to feed them but they were a bit skittish. The black squirrels are much smaller than the grey squirrels we get in the UK.

We caught the train from Davos back to Klosters, and then we had a cold drink in the village and also picked up some items from the supermarket for supper tonight.

Supper was early tonight as at 7pm we attended another concert as part of the Klosters Music Festival. Tonight it was the Munich Chamber Orchestra featuring the horn player Ben Goldscheider, a young British musician who was a finalist in the BBC Young Musicians' Concert  in 2016. Since then he has gone on to achieve great things, collaborating with Barenboim and playing with the major orchestras of Europe amongst other things. The concert was superb - it started with the Swan Lake suite which was so enjoyable. Mozart's Horn Concerto was played superbly by Ben, what an able young musician he is. Another wonderful concert in this year's festival of music.
