Butterflies
This morning I again woke up at 5am with horrible pain in my leg, I think it's sciatica which I have had before. I decided to have a lazy morning - it was raining first thing, and then the sun came out and it was wonderful sitting on the terrace enjoying the sunshine reading my book. It then got too hot to sit outside in the sun and so we went for a walk all over the village with Xena, up and down the river where I saw many butterflies and photographed this one, some kind of fritillary I think?
After lunch we did some cycling in the village and then just had a lazy afternoon. Supper tonight is cheese fondue, you can buy the cheese mixture already prepared and then you only need to heat it up in the fondue pot. The traditional way of serving it here in this part of Switzerland is with bread chunks and pineapple - the pineapple cuts through the heaviness of the cheese very well. I won't be having any, not an ideal meal for someone who cannot eat gluten or lactose but we wanted Anna to experience it.
