SILLY SMILE
Neil messaged this morning to let me know he was going to return my lawn mower today. He borrowed my electric one a few months ago - he's now bought one of his own. So I waited in until he and Rachael arrived at about 3pm. They didn't stay long as they were on their way to a barbecue at a friends house.
I walked down to the village later - food shopping and collecting a parcel. The weather was dry and bright but there was a cool wind.
Olympics this evening - swimming and athletics.
Its Silly Saturday hosted by davidc in memory of Admirer. Nothing silly caught my eye when I was out so I looked around at home and decided to blip one of my collection of vintage Annalee dolls. They are American dolls - the company dates from the 1950's. An American friend collects them and I decided to start my own collection. There are lots to buy on Ebay but most of them are being sold in the USA and the postage is high. The ones for sale in the UK are usually expensive - £40 to £100.... silly prices.. However I keep looking and can often find them cheaper. The vintage bunny in my blip shot dates from 1998 and cost me £18 including P & P.. I actually managed to " win " another one on Ebay today - total cost was £17. Becky thinks Im silly for collecting them as she thinks they are awful but I think they are cute and unusual.
