Watch this space!
This strip of land has had nothing done to it in the 15yrs that we've lived here. A few of us picked brambles, folk came and took cuttings off the willows, the ground was riddled with rabbit holes and voles' nests and cats hunted here, the pheasants wandered through it. It was full of willowherb and was a real picture in the summer.
Today two guys and a digger came and ripped out all the willows, Rosa rugosa, brambles and God knows what else. No idea why, nobody seems to know. Nobody from out with the village has been near it until this week. Rumours of more housing plots but weirdly, no one still alive knows who it actually belongs to! Curious. We will have to wait and see . . .
Extra. Is this really necessary??
