Not so Distant Hills
A perfect summer day. Mine started late, the late finish at work meant a very late night. I did a few chores this morning and after lunch met up with C. We took both dogs up the hill at the community woodland project opposite Craig Yr Aderyn and found a bench where we sat for quite a while enjoying the peace and quiet, away from the holiday crowds .... and this view :-) Craig Yr Aderyn in the centre with Cader Idris a little more distant to the left. Not many better ways to while away an hour on a summer afternoon.
The second evening of the Late Night Steam event enjoyed much better weather than the first and was unsurprisingly busier, particularly the last train which almost doubled the takings for the night. I was grateful for help from the station master and from Julie, alias Lovetrees, both of whom went the extra mile having also worked on the railway during the day. It was a good crack! I think everyone had fun :-)
