Walk

We did a walk along the river today and as we walked past the church I noticed a new headstone.  We had a closer look and were surprised to see that it commemorates Cholera victims from a long time ago!  I do remember something on a local history page about Hoppers down from London who caught Cholera and died - nice that someone has now erected a new headstone to their memory?

I didn't have much time after our walk to breakfast/shower so it was a bit of a rush to get over to have my toe nails painted!  I had booked a weekend appointment as I thought OH would be around so I didn't have to leave No.1 on her own, but he had agreed to go to a bbq at the Care Home.  However all was ok - toes painted and home via Tesco in just over an hour.  Nothing much else - JC was delayed (won't go into it) and arrived around 7.00.  No.1 really pleased to see him but (won't go into it)..............

Received a photo from ex colleague following his birthday recently.  I always remember the date as it is the same as MIL.  He looked happy with his 2 daughters.  We said we must get together for a coffee sometimes although have been saying that for two years!!  One day maybe?

More Olympics on the tv - wish I was interested but went to bed early to finish my book.
