Travelling slowly

We cycled to Germersheim and there we crossed the Rhine by ferry and cycled away from the river into the countryside. We are going to visit family, namely HOtamer and Hanulli. It would be strange not to cycle there. Ha! Actually, we cycled from home to them. Now that's what you call taking a detour.
We were surprised at how long we cycled relatively flat. The Rhine must have been enormously wide at one time.

The weather seems to have changed. It drizzled quite often.
