Monbiel walk
Anna was getting the 10.30 train back to Zurich today, (she is in the final stages of her Masters degree so needed to get back to her work in the lab) so we had a last visit to the new cafe before taking her to the station. Adam is a coffee afficionado, and was delighted to discover that the new cafe in the village offers some incredible coffees and also does pour overs in addition to the usual bean machine coffees, plus matcha made the correct Japanese way. We had ruby matcha lattes this morning, they were so delicious - matcha with ruby chocolate and decorated with dried raspberries (see extra).
Once Anna had left we went to get groceries, then Adam went to work (he is writing up his PhD thesis) while Gavin and I went for a walk. What we thought would be a 1 hour walk turned out to be 2.5 hours in the hot sun! It was so hot and sunny on the walk, about 26C. This was taken on the walk, overlooking the Monbiel valley. We got back in time for a very late lunch.
I prepared supper in advance as we had a 6pm tee off time for golf. Adam, Gavin and I enjoyed playing in the sunny weather, you can play until sunset so there were still many people out playing golf. We finished at about 7.30pm and then came home for supper.
We enjoyed watching the 100m sprint last night, the time difference between first and second place was only 5 milli seconds!! Team GB is doing so well, lying 5th at the moment with 41 medals!
