Watercolour…

… From Friday.
I came home full of enthusiasm, from the art course, to do more at home (in terms of trying to paint mist).
The weekend ran away with me, so here’s one of Friday’s efforts, given the lack of offerings today.

I seem to have wasted the day trying to buy a specific item on line for a birthday gift.
It’s all very well having so much available in the ether but it really puts the pressure on to find something special doesn’t it?
My mind goes blank.
Where to begin the search?
Would she like a little silver plated owl ornament? (Would she bog roll).
And then, when you have found something reasonably suitable (probably) you have to hope it arrives in one piece (and on time!).
Gifts are over-rated. It’s so rare to find the perfect one. I predict we shall all stop doing it soon. (Maybe that would be a good thing? It wouldn’t be great for the Charity shops though!).

Of course, had I turned the calendar page over as soon as we reached August, instead of four days in, I wouldn’t have experienced this stressful little challenge.
No one to blame but myself.
