Power Station

Early afternoon we drove to Bassaleg, Newport (South Wales UK) to visit  friends, Kel and Mandy,  and enjoyed a few hours chatting and catching up on things.

A minute drive from their house is the view of Uskmouth Power Station , Nash, Newport that can be seen from many miles due to the chimney, and with it being so clear there was a view across to the English coast of Portishead/Cleveland (Somerset). Reading up on it, it looks like it's now closed and earmarked for demolition. It'll certainly be a big change on the landscape when that happens.
