Monnow Bridge
I had a walk around Monmouth town (South Wales, UK) in the sunshine after first taking an aerial photograph of the medieval Monnow Bridge (1297AD) over the River Monnow. It's the only surving fortified bridge with gatehouse in Britain.
The photo's of it are normally taken from the other direction so I thought I'd get a view of it from its lesser seen side, with a view along the River Monnow towards the 'new' bridge that cars now use.
After cutting the lawns when I got home, it was just in time to watch the Bristol Rovers v Cardiff City FC last friendly match before the season kicks off next Saturday. Cardiff won 0-2 with two sublime goals.
We're off out with neighbours tonight for meal. Enjoy your weekend!
