‘Fatal attraction’ Echinacea

This morning I went to the RHS gardens at Wisley. We got there as it opened so lovely to have the first half hour with very few people. All the areas have so many plants in full bloom with so many great flowers. The newly planted area is now looking mature and there were several varieties of echinacea that I was not familiar with…this is one of them. See extra for view of the garden from the ‘lavender mound’.
There was also a children’s trail of Shaun the Sheep statues..
See one in the extra. I’m not particularly keen on these statues..some were not the best and their bright ‘plastic’ appearance doesn’t really go with the plants.
Also there seems to be a new procedure in the Hillside cafe to order on screen…like motorway service stations and McDonalds ! We didn’t see it and went straight to the counter!

The A3 was fine getting there but at 11.30 a big queue to get onto the M25 so not great.

We’ve had a quiet afternoon watching lots of Olympic events.
