California poppies

These poppies are growing on our allotment….they self seed each year so we have lots of clumps which we leave in between various vegetables, as we like them!  Also if you pick then they last quite well in a vase at home.

After Pilates and coffee I did some trimming of our Virginia creeper at home and later went to the allotment and a bike ride.

Bushy Park was very quiet this afternoon. I went to the NPL sports club to see the grandchildren engaged in their first tennis lesson. They are there for two whole days and ai was pleased that they enjoyed today and didn’t want to leave!

Lots of watching of the Olympics this evening and great the women have gold medals in cycling and Keely in the 800m too.
Interesting to see Hazel Irvine in a clip from 2004 …she looks younger than she is!
