Coneflowers and daylilies

A visit with another daylily grower this afternoon. He has his place on the side of a hill overlooking an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean. The water was calm today. I am sure the owner and the ones who work for him are part mountain goat. It is a steep climb from bottom to top. He used to have a set of steps going down one side of the gardens, but erosion has caused them to deteriorate, so he had to close them off. You have to zigzag back down the paths. And I gave in to temptation and bought 2 of his seedlings.

There is a pyrotechnics show on the waterfront tonight at 9:30, so I am going to go and check that out, if I can find a parking spot.
