Fairy Lights

Hot and humid today with the temperature again touching 30C. It was far too hot to go anywhere and being the weekend the beaches would be mobbed so a quiet day spent mostly in the garden under the sun shade.

Even that proved too warm in the afternoon so inside to watch an epic battle in the Tour de France. Well done to Chris Froome.

One of my favourite grasses is this Stipa Gigantia which as it is touched by the early morning sun seems to be lit by dozens of tiny light bulbs.
