Butterfly or moth .....

I was eating breakfast and noticed this pretty little insect on the window.It sat very still all day which enabled me to capture several shots of it. I'm afraid my windows need a clean so please forgive the dust spots I missed during edit. The cat took a keen interest in it at his feeding time and gave it a pat.It started to flutter so he then ate it . Rotten cat !
