You know!
This is Buttermere. It is a back Blip taken when I was photographing the 'Buttermere Tree' a few Blips ago. Here I managed to smooth out the water, a long exposure technique, but also glad I included the tree and exposed roots too. A nice jumbly 'mess' of textures and patterns and an indication of just how high Buttermere can get after heavy rain. On either side of this photo there are branches and logs left high and dry, left there after winter storms. The sun is a little further on than in the 'Buttermere Tree' Blip. The Fell in the background is Fleetwith Pike, the insides being a slate mine, Honister.com and is a tourist attraction. As was Tom Cruise when filming 'Mission Impossible' at the far end of the lake! And in Buttermere village you may see Richard Hammond of 'Top Gear' fame.
Not a day to go out today, making it the third day of not taking photos!
