Flowers in the garden

It has been a wet Monday, but as I write it seems to be drying up a little.
Chores around the house today, a little cleaning, a big ironing..... typical Monday.

A visit to the surgery with Bob and then a visit to the supermarket for some essentials.  Bob has had very itchy ears, caused we think by his hearing aids, and today the pharmacist gave him some cream which may help.  

Getting a bit tired of the Olympics now, although some interesting athletics to come.  There are some silly ones, break dancing, how is that an Olympic sport?  I feel it should be most more restricted.  However, if you are into break dancing you would probably disagree.

The rioting in various places in England and also in Ireland are very concerning, and show an underlying dissatisfaction with the handling of the immigrant problems.  So far the violence has not spread to Scotland, but one cannot be complacent.  The tragic killing of the three little girls in Southport seems have started a chain of violence which appears unconnected.  The Government calls it thuggery!
