Roundabout

A few months ago the council altered the roundabout in the village.  The road surface was terrible but they also decided to re position the pavements and left the roundabout itself in an awful mess.
After many complaints we were amazed that last weekend a digger appeared and they have turned it into something very pleasing.
All the village is delighted. 

Another show of people power is the fact that Kirklees Council have had a change of heart and actually scraped the idea to introduce new parking charges in small towns and villages.

I thought the petitions I signed was a waste of time.  How wrong I was.
