Colony type houses

I use that term because that is what similar buildings are called in Edinburgh. I love these because they are so photogenic, although Iiving there would have plusses and minuses. They are almost in the city centre and close to the river, but they have no views of the river and are hemmed in between other buildings. The stone stairs would be hazardous in winter, but look at this secluded sun trap. That swings it for me. I’d happily sit there pretending to read a book and jawing with the neighbours.
