Painted Lady

My knee now resembles a grapefruit so today's spaniel walk was a slow two mile amble around the lanes near the house. These are lanes that are only the width of a tractor, with three meter high hedges and grass growing down the middle. So its very quiet and I saw Silver-washed fritillaries just five minutes from home and then a posing Painted Lady. Today's bonus, I spotted some good hedgerows for blackberry picking in a week or so.
