Favourite Tree

It's been a day of ticking things off the list.  I had to wait in for the supermarket delivery first thing so I put in a load of washing, ordered some bird food, replied to e-mails and pottered, keeping an eye on the Olympics.

Angela was happy to walk with me down to Bingley and kindly did a couple of jobs for me whilst I was having my mammogram, then we stayed and had lunch at the Craft House before walking home.

More jobs then I reluctantly donned my painting togs and touched up the skirtings upstairs where the new carpet had revealed the old paintwork, bit of a faff that.

More Olympics before dinner and I enjoyed watching the climbing and skateboarding and cycling.  One of my favourite 'new' sports (new to me) is the bonkers cross kayaking where anything goes and it resembles a game from Jeux Sans Frontiers with boats getting wedged on each other around big padded slalom poles!

With Tony away, dinner was a huge buddha bowl of salad followed up by a dish of yoghurt and fruit, then it was up to the allotment with the watering cans to feed the tomatoes in the greenhouse and pick the courgettes and beans.  Neighbour Michelle kindly carried one of the watering cans and enjoyed getting a look at gardens further up the street than she has ventured before.

My blip is from this morning, my favourite tree in Low Park in full summer leaf, taken on our return from Bingley.
