Dinner with friends

A lovely sunny day so I was able to get the covers from the sofa and chair in the kitchen washed and dried before lunchtime. Phin and I enjoyed a walk round Dalkeith in the morning whilst Mr PHL put another coat of paint on his shed.

I’ve made lists of what we need to take away this week but mostly didn’t the afternoon working on the blanket. I realised that I hadn’t thought about the edging squares, all 76 of them so I’m a bit concerned I won’t get the blanket finished by the time we see our friends on the 27th.
It’s just all consuming.

An evening of laughter, chat, wine and tapas with three friends I’ve known since our boys were all at nursery together. Made my bus home by the skin of my teeth just before midnight and realised I hadn’t blipped. Hope this electronic board showing the upcoming stops fits the bill if communication. Thanks to 60plus for hosting for the first half of August.
