Southern Hawker
Out on a walk around Rhydyronen with Julie and Meg this morning we spotted this lovely Dragonfly, more correctly a Hawker, which alighted obligingly and posed for me. I have seen a few of these on recent walks, a common species. A nice walk it was too, plenty of good sniffs for Meg and almost perfect summer weather for us. We concluded this morning with Lunch at Kings before I headed off to Jamie's for a couple of hours to help him unpack and get sorted on his return from his latest travels.
Late afternoon J and I met up in Aberdovey where she is staying. Meg came too but proved a bit spooked by a strange and busy place, sometimes refusing to budge. She and I didn't make it to the ice cream shop so Julie returned with dripping cones ....They were very tasty but needed speedy consumption! Back at the caravan we sat outside with a cuppa and nattered until six.
Back home for a quick tea before a lively, very good humoured evening's singing. We are performing three times at the end of the month so were practicing the songs we will use at some these events.
