TIMBERS!

Very busy day for us. We tilled  the garden first thing. I bought kale, cabbage and parsley from the Amish greenhouse. I also had cucumber and zucchini plants I started from seeds. My cucumbers were so bitter this year I pulled them up. So the fall garden is started.
We crabbed the pots and had enough for lunch. We steamed corn and red potatoes in the pot with the crabs. It has been about 6 weeks since we've had crabs and they were really good.
Hubby cut two dead river birched down after lunch. I used the 4x4 to pull them in the direction we wanted them to fall. We took two truck loads to the island brush pile. When we drove in the field the big buck was grazing around and did not mind us being there. And then there was this kitty and two more in the yard. One was a very pale orange the other was a very pretty long hair dark kitty. Reminds me of the days when I lived there. I think they are strays but can not be sure. They were not wild or afraid of us.
Grilled tomato and cheese for dinner, we are done!
