Dippin' Doublers
We had a lot of soft crabs so we decided to go fishing first thing this morning. We saw a lot of crabs hanging on the piles but no fish biting. So, we motored home grabbed the crab net, basket, tongs, measuring crab stick and a bucket and headed back out to dip doublers. We got about 2 dozen pealers, a few soft crabs and only 2 51/2" keeper crabs. We decided to try one of our old fishing spots for a change as we had not gotten a bite all morning. Well, we hit the fish and had a great time bringing home 60 big perch. After a quick lunch hubby cooked the crabs from our pots and pulled the boat up since we are forecast to get rain from hurricane Debbie. I cut and trimmed the neighbors grass. Then we filleted the fish and put them in the freezer. A hot shower and TV dinners brought the day to an end. Another very full day.
