A cracker of a frost
It was a very chilly here last night, with the air temperature reaching -3.5 degrees during the night. So, feeding out this morning it was certainly hats and gloves weather, although my feet were frozen from walking through the frosted grass. And yes, I did have thermal socks on, and insoles in my gumboots!
This photo is of a frozen fence insulator. I love the frost crystals, and the way they are sticking out.
The men arrived this morning and have started installing the milking plant in the cowshed. It will take about a week to have it completely installed, and with calving due to start in about a fortnight, it was nice to see the men turn up and start work this morning!
