For those getting tired of photos of our dock, I promise this is the last update! 

We are so happy to see our dock today for the first time in days. Sometimes during a 'regular' high rain situation or a particularly high tide, we do have water over our dock. But things usually go back to normal in a few hours. 

We discovered that Steve's hunch that the rain & inland flooding was the cause for the huge rise in the river was true. A neighborhood next to Ward Lake was seriously flooded and it flowed into the Lake and sent tons of water over the Dam. That water flowed down river past us, flowing into our canal. I've added a map to the extra photos, the blue lines show the flooded neighborhood.

I'll be glad to move onto other subjects now for this journal!
