london
6pm and I’m struggling to stay awake. I woke up quite a few times during the night as I couldn't stretch my legs out very well and then we arrived into Euston over half and hour early. Robbed!
I headed straight for the toilets at Euston, washed my face and cleaned my teeth and felt better. Started walking in a southerly direction. London is lovely at 7am, all quiet and fresh. I felt even better after finding a nice place to have coffee and read my book for an hour or so.
South again, visited Foyles and then on through Covent Garden and past Charing Cross to spend another happy hour at the National Portrait Gallery. By 11.30 it was getting busy and time to get the train down to Uckfield.
Lovely to see Mum and Dad again - see extra. We have had a good chat, done some jigsaw, and now we are off out to eat at the Indian restaurant round the corner. Then an early night!
The main photo is Central St Giles by Renzo Piano.
